The recent Federal Budget included a new rebate of up to $1,350 based on 15% of any qualifying home renovations. This means that for any purchase of a door replacement project, invoiced by Jan 31, 2010, you can receive 15% back as a tax refund, up to a maximum of $1,350. Note that the first $1,000 spent on renovations does NOT qualify, but the remaining amount up to $10,000 DOES qualify.
Example: A customer pays for a door replacement with a total value of $7,600. 15% of the balance, after the 1st $1,000 is deducted, means a refund of $990.
The program runs from Jan 27, 2008 until Jan 31, 2010. For more information click here
